One of the most popular, accessible and long running car boots on the Isle of Wight the Wootton Boot has pitches for over 150 sellers and plenty of space for buyers (including families with pushchairs) to circulate. Held every Saturday from the beginning of May to the end of October stall set up is from 7am with gates officially opening to buyers from 8am. The Wootton Boot finishes at midday*

* For safety reasons and the convenience of other sellers and buyers we request that sellers do not take down their stalls before 11.30am.

Location:
Lushington Hill, Wootton
Coming on the main Ryde to Newport road (from Ryde), it's on the left before the Racecourse roundabout.

Buying and selling:
Sellers are recommended to be on the field by 7.30am to set up. Please park your car BETWEEN the blue topped wooden posts (1 pitch). Larger vehicles (vans, people carriers etc.) can park sideways on (2 pitches).

Cost:
Sellers: All pitches are clearly marked with blue topped posts. £5 for a single pitch or £7 for a double.
Buyers: Car parking 30p per car. Entry free for pedestrians, cyclists and motorcycles/scooters.

Refreshments:
Refreshments are available on the field.

Weather:
A major factor. If it's raining heavily at 7am we will cancel but otherwise assume it's on. JUST FOR THE RECORD only two car boots were cancelled due to bad weather in the 2008 season and the last two in the 2009 season.
