Trawler Race Day...

WEYMOUTH'S Trawler Race Day is a day of fun competition, live bands and charity: with collections being made for a range of local charities including the MV Freedom, Weymouth Lifeboat and Weymouth Rowing Club. The fun atmosphere being greatly enhanced with events such as 'The Birdman' and 'Walk The Plank' competitions. Unfortunately, the day didn't end well for everyone with one contestant being taken to Dorset County Hospital for treatment: Garry Clarke's attempt went uncomfortably wrong when he landed in the harbour astride his ten foot model replica of Big Ben....
